DANIEL JAEN 1988 Sao Paulo, Brasil

Daniel Jaen Daniel Jaen is a contemporary painter and investigator of the human body. Through his portraits, the artist puts his own sexuality under discussion and questions the image of men in today's society. His dynamic and fragmented brushstrokes invoke masculine fragility and allow these figures to manifest themselves in their most sensitive forms. The artist intends to go beyond the physical body. The several layers of painting, the often visible sketches and unfinished parts, create the most diverse connotations and let the viewer reach other psychological and emotional extensions of men. Daniel has a close relationship with social networks that is directly manifested in his work. His technique has a strong influence of several other contemporary artists with whom he connects on digital platforms.

He studied at the Florence Academy of Art, from which he graduated in 2010. The human experience has always been at the center of his work--enduring human concerns, themes, and stories, are what drives Kendric’s paintings, and central to that, the most universal of all subjects, the human figure. His paintings, whatever other subject they may have, depict individual people, opened up to universal feelings.
